Neil Harbisson and Moon Ribas in Balada

Place
Residence of artist of Baladre, Balada - Amposta

In the framework of Eufònic, the Sound and Visual Art of the Terres de l'Ebre, the artist Neil Harbisson and the choreographer Moon Ribas have been working to Balada's Residence of Lo Pati and his surroundings.

One of the residences of artist to Eufònic is Neil Harbisson and Moon Ribas: Deltònic. The festival will show the works that these two artist have performed at the space that the center has in Balada for seven days. The objective is to interact with the natural landscape of Ebro Delta to realise a work of research about the landscape.

Neil has achromatopsia, sees life in black and white and...is the word's first cyborg recognized as such by the government. Since the age of 20 has intalled a eyebord sound that impulses sounds directly into  his brain, thing that allow him ditinguish the colours, and that has become the center of his work. To Eufònic he will do a very special work: an ore of visual map of the Delta translated to the sounds that he has to use –by force- to recognise the colours that we see with so much ease. An only experience that will take the shape of “concert” created from the sounds of the colours of the Delta, where the artist “will interpret” the colours that will launch him his collaborator and choreographer Moon Ribas.

The residence of these two artists has been covered by major media, between them TV3 and La Vanguardia. You can see the video and image gallery of Eufònic.
